It was a rainy morning, so we took our time getting ready to depart.  Besides, the girls had been up really late watching a DVD ("Center Stage"), so we let them sleep in.  We figured that Remy needed to catch up a bit.

Jordan and Remy displayed their slept-in locks.

Here is Jordan, after she was combed out.

And both the girls in their new 'dos.

Now that we were 5 again, Joya was relegated to riding in the back.  I am not sure she minded too much, though.

Silver-roofed churches were to be found in every small town we passed through as we drove Southwest, along the country roads, down toward Montreal.  Below is a selection Jody managed to capture with the camera as we passed through.

Our campground was a considerable distance South of Montreal, much to our chagrin.  We ended up driving about 45 minutes South.  Had we realized how from from the city we were, we might have made other plans.  But the campground we found ourselves in was cheap -- less than $40 US for 3 nights with full hookups.  Plus, it had a pool.

We arrived pretty late in the day, got set up and saw to dinner.

We had purchased fireworks while visiting Alma in New Brunswick -- fireworks are legal all over Canada, although we were having a hard time finding somewhere to shoot them off, what with the drought.  The girls asked the campground owners if they could do some of them, and were told that the sparklers were OK, but nothing else.  So...

Despite the darkness of the shot below, we loved it.  Jody was taking pictures of the girls with their sparklers.  Jordan got all set to pose with hers, when it went out.  You can see how pathetic she felt by her body posture in the photo.
