At last! A Moose! We had been on moose-watch through all of Maine and Canada,
and never seen one, despite traveling through some pretty remote and wooded
areas. But shortly after we entered Grand Teton National Park, we spotted
a group of folks with cameras off to the side of the road, and when we inquired
about what they were looking at, they told us moose. We were
thrilled. Sorry I could not get a better picture -- that is the moose's
head in the center of this blurry image. She did stand up, and I did press
the "take a picture" button on the camera, but nothing was
there.
We continue to hope to see a bull moose.

The Grand Teton range is beautiful. Jody and Jordan were at the worst
stage of a nasty cold, so Jody stayed in and slept while Jordan and I walked
down to the lake.

While at the lakeside, we played cards for an hour or so, until the wind and
the cold drove us back inside. This fully little picture is actually a
composite of 2 pictures; this was Jordan's brainchild. Since we were down
there entirely alone, there was no one to take a picture of us playing. So
Jordan took a picture of me, and then I took a picture of her, and we glued the
2 images together -- that's why Jordan looks like she is bigger and taller than
I am (look at the feet!).

We only stayed overnight in the Tetons, since we wanted to get into
Yellowstone ASAP.
