We drove hard, westward out of the Black Hills, towards Western
Wyoming. After we got out of the hills, the country was almost entirely
treeless, rolling hills and sagebrush.
Lander was our chosen first stop in Wyoming. Located just outside Grand
Teton National Park, it was a cozy little small mountain town, complete with an
old fashioned movie theater. As we drove into town, we noted that
"The Princess Diaries" was playing at 7:30, so we made it a point to
get dinner cooked and eaten with enough time left for the short 1/2 mile walk
downtown to the theater. The movie was fun, especially so since we could
walk there and back.
