I am going to depart here from the daily-update format and lump some of our days here with the Mulroys together.  Get over it -- there are plenty more days to come, on this odyssey.

The first thing to note is our typically excellent timing.  Not only did we descend on the Mulroy's at a time when they already had their hands full with Mary Beth and her children, but we arrived just prior to "Master's Week".  For those of you who don't golf, follow golf, or care about golf, "Master's Week" refers to the Masters Tournament, played on the Augusta National Golf course, the preeminent golfing contest in the world -- and it takes place in tiny Augusta, nearly swamping much of the city's infrastructure.  We mostly stayed put and avoided the whole mess.

Much of our visit here was very low key -- chatting with the adults, playing with the kids, reading, eating, or, novelty of novelty, watching TV.  The girls had not seen a television since early February, if you don't count "Thomas Family Theater", which was only movies.  They apparently were aware of their depravation, since they seemed to take every opportunity to get in a few minutes (or hours) of viewing time, if that was what "the cousins" were doing.

During our stay with the Mulroys, the trailer was parked in their backyard, in 'dry camping' mode, which means that it was not hooked up to any external sources like electricity, water, propane or sewer.  We were not cooking much out there, but we did sleep in the trailer, since that was where all our stuff was stored.  The location was lovely; the Mulroy's home is on a huge lot, and they had the good sense when they moved in to leave most of the original forest trees all along the perimeter of their property, as well as many of the trees on the interior.  There was often the sound of many, many birds to be heard; the Mulroys encouraged them by providing quite a few well-stocked bird feeders.  We saw robins, orioles, woodpeckers, and of course sparrows.

And now, a surprise...pictures!  Uncle Mike has a digital camera, so I have included some shots taken during Grace's birthday celebration.  Below, from left to right, we have: Caragh, her son John Robert, Jordan, Jody's left eye, Mary Beth's brother Gordon, his son Campbell, Mary Beth's son Walton, and the guest of honor and birthday girl, Grace.

Below, Grace is telling Joya "my cake", in a rather proprietary fashion, as 2 year olds are known to do from time to time.

This is Caragh and Dave's youngest son, Joseph.

Mary Beth and Mickey's oldest son, Walton.
