This was Mother's Day, so we started off slow and easy. The girls and
I presented cards to Jody, and then it was time for breakfast
preparation. At some point in the morning, one of the girls took this
interesting picture from inside the trailer. No image processing was
done here -- Jody just plain glows, that's all.

On the breakfast menu was vegetarian eggs benedict -- fantastic! Joya took these
'before and after' pictures to demonstrate how scrumptious this was.

After cleanup, the adults were ready for a hike, with the girls reluctantly
joining us, rather than remain behind and possibly miss something. We just
ambled about the lake area, mostly through wooded paths, although we did follow
a road for a time, during which Joya took this image of Jody and I.

Once to the lake, we attempted to find a trail that circled it, but never
really found one. While bushwhacking about, we encountered this
prehistoric-looking fish skeleton, obviously from a recently-dead inhabitant of
the lake. None of us had ever seen such a fish before, and I believe none
of us would like to, either. Look at those teeth!

The remainder of the day was spent occupied with every-day tasks: cooking,
eating, card games, and such.
