The sky dawned cloudy this day, and it looked like rain. We went after
and retrieved a newspaper in order to check the weather, which confirmed that we
were in for a few days of cool, cloudy weather and some showers -- not good
beach weather at all. So, after a hasty conference, we decided that we did
not want to see Caladesi on a cloudy day, since there was little to the island
besides a pristine beach; thus, we headed due East, across the narrow state of
Florida, to do the Disney thing.
The park we chose seemed to be the best compromise between cost, proximity to
the "attractions", and overall ambience. We were very happy with
our choice, the "Tropical Palms Fun Resort": large sites with lots of
grass and trees, and a pool for the girls -- no hot tub, though :(
We were nearly out of food, so we went in search of the Kissimee Discount
Organic Food Emporium, or any other such place that sold some organic
food. It turned out to be "The Organic Place", and we dropped
nearly $300 and filled the fridge and pantry to overflowing. That
accomplished, we all did some relaxing prior to dinner and evening cards.
Hearts is currently the game of choice, but we are also inclined to play
Cribbage from time to time.
