Since camping was free (but without any hookups), we decided to stay over at the Canyon de Chelly campground and have a 'down day', where nothing was scheduled. During this time, Doug framed in the new refrigerator cabinet, which the girls are displaying here. 
The campground had a resident pack of formerly-domesticated dogs. The girls REALLY wanted to take this one with us, but this was not to be.
The girls stayed in their pajamas all day, goofed off and played. It was great for them. Jody was productive, and cleaned out the car, which we have demonstrated an uncanny ability to make filthy in a matter of hours while traveling. All in all, it was a great day -- and much needed. We had been going pretty hard for almost 2 weeks. Next stop: somewhere in New Mexico. |
